Free Youth Music Workshop Saturday June 8 11am-1pm

We are inviting all interested youth accompanied by an adult(s) to come participate in the youth music workshop, held at Sacajawea State Park, at the Sacajawea Bluegrass Festival & Dutch Oven Rendezvous, June 8, 2019.

Emphasis is placed on having fun playing music. All kids age 4 and up are invited, no experience is needed. This is a great opportunity to expose your child to playing acoustic music in a group.   We have some instruments to lend, but if you have a fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, or acoustic bass for your child, please bring it. The coordinating instructor will be Sharon Worlund, an experienced teacher and certified “O’Connor Method” violin instructor.  Older experienced youth will be helping the kids learn the basics. We will learn a song or two to play up on stage at 1pm.  Those supporting the youth will sign in at the front gate and may attend the festival at no cost during the workshop and stage presentation from 10:30 to 3:00. The workshop will take a short lunch break, so bring a sack lunch, or food vendors will be on site.
